If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

GP Extended Hours

The Extended Access Service has more appointments with GPs available, making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends.

How do I book an appointment?

Contact your GP practice in the usual way to request an appointment. If there is no appointment available at your practice, they may offer you an appointment with the GP Extended Access Service, if this is right for you.

If your practice is closed and you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111. They may also be able to book an appointment for you with the GP Extended Access Service.

Please note that your consent will be required in order for an appointment to be booked for you.

We are open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6:30pm, excluding national Bank Holidays(These are our contracted hours.)

Please note, between 6.00pm and 6.30pm we provide the following service:

  • Phone lines:
    • 6:00pm – 6:30pm: Calls answered by PHL and Park Medical Centre
    • 6:30pm – 8:00am and weekends: Calls answered by NHS 111
  • Front door access:
    • Between 6:00pm and 6:30pm, the door will be locked.
    • An intercom is available if you need to collect prescriptions, documents, or book routine appointments (e.g., smear tests, NHS Health Checks etc).
  • Online form:
    • Available 8:00am – 6:00pm for medical queries.
    • Available 24/7 for routine or administrative requests.

For non-urgent issues, you can call NHS 111 anytime, day or night.

Please note: At certain times (e.g., before 8.30am, during lunch or after 6pm), a clinician may not be present in the building.

Staff Training Dates 2026 

We are awaiting the dates of training for 2026.  On these dates, the surgery will be open from 8am then close for staff training at 1PM.  We will post the dates here for 2026 once they are known.
