Why have I been invited for an NHS Health Check?
This Health Check service is for everyone aged between 40 and 74 who has not been diagnosed with any cardiovascular or kidney disease and has not had a Health Check in the last five years. This service is for people living in Staffordshire and is paid for by Staffordshire County Council.
What does an NHS Health Check involve?
NHS Health Checks usually take about 30 minutes. There will be questions and measurements such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, height, weight, age, sex and ethnicity, and you’ll receive personalised advice on how best to stay healthy and reduce your risks of developing cardiovascular diseases.
